ROCCO: Robotic Assembly System for Computer Integrated Construction Here I describe only the IT part of the ROCCO project: The system deals mainly with the construction oriented modification of existing technologies and with closing the gaps between them through intelligent interfaces and IT-based tools, in order to provide the necessary flexibility for one of a kind building production, robust design and user friendly programming. To achieve the requirements, the above mentioned basic strategies for automated construction are applied: the information integration , the transfer to the pre-fabrication (only where applicable) and the redesign of the used construction materials.
